What is PRP?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. It's a treatment that uses a part of your own blood to help with healing and regeneration in different areas of the body, like the scalp (for hair growth) or the skin (for skin rejuvenation).

Here’s how it works:

  1. Blood Collection: A small amount of your blood is drawn, usually from your arm.

  2. Processing: The blood is placed in a machine called a centrifuge. This machine spins the blood really fast to separate the different components of the blood, such as red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma. The plasma, which is rich in platelets (a type of cell that helps your blood clot), is collected.

  3. Treatment: The concentrated platelets are then injected into the targeted area—like the scalp or skin.

  4. Healing and Restoration: The platelets contain special proteins called growth factors, which stimulate the healing process by promoting tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and encouraging the growth of new cells.

PRP is a natural, non-surgical way to help the body heal itself by using its own resources.
